Director of Communications| The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX – January 2020 - present

As a premier research and education program for the 21st century field of information, the School of Information (iSchool) is changing the future by engaging the present and preserving the past.
► Maintains the infrastructure and web content of the School of Information website in Drupal 8 CMS
► Serves as brand manager and primary content creator for all iSchool marketing and communications efforts (including managing all social media accounts, writing and designing newsletters, and overseeing the design of promotional materials)

Web Content Manager| Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Austin, TX – October 2018 - January 2020

The AMD Partner Hub provides access to marketing materials, sales tools, resources, training courses, and webinars for AMD products and technologies, along with the latest news.
► Maintains the infrastructure and web content of 11 global AMD Partner Hub websites—including 10 non-English language sites—in Drupal 8 CMS
► Develops/documents best practices and processes for content management, SEO, and optimizing the user experience on the site
► Performs extensive maintenance in digital asset management system: applying updates to asset metadata, organizing and tagging assets, etc.

UI/UX Designer | Central State Hospital Digital Archives Project, Austin, TX – September 2017 - February 2018

The Central State Hospital Digital Library & Archives Project ensures the long-term preservation of over 100 years of records related to the historic African American mental health care institution.
► Led website planning, strategy, and design efforts to promote a historical records collection in a digital archives library
► Created a style guide to document standards for visual branding, tone, and word usage throughout site content
► Designed the site’s architecture, navigational nomenclature, and visual story to support the information seeking activities of diverse user communities

Web Content Strategist | The University of Texas, School of Information, Austin, TX – May 2016 - January 2018

At the University of Texas at Austin School of Information (iSchool), students learn to design new tools, analyze human activities, organize data, and ensure technology serves its intended users.
► Conducted competitive analysis and led the strategic planning, design, and implementation of multiple web projects and digital promotional initiatives on the iSchool's official website
► Managed a team of designers in creating the 2017 Open House event page, including the development of a database-driven searchable archive of iSchool student projects
► Performed a content gap analysis and led the information architecture development and design of Info Portal, an iSchool student blog
► Coordinated over 40 Info Portal story submissions with blog authors, created and managed metadata for published content, and led planning efforts for the monthly content publishing schedule
► Provided leadership and guidance on imaging, branding, and marketing as well as editorial and graphic design support to iSchool faculty, staff, and students

RetailTribe is an online marketing company that helps over 1,100 Golf & Health Club Professionals worldwide to inspire members to improve their health, play better golf, and have more fun.
► Managed and edited content and SEO metadata for over 70 customers' email marketing newsletters and websites

The mission of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer, and to improve the quality of life for survivors.
► Developed fundraising campaigns and communications programs in collaboration with the Director of Communications
► Wrote, designed, and improved web and newsletter content, resulting in a 50% increase in website visitors
► Created promotional materials and print/digital/outdoor ads for ovarian cancer awareness events, including NOCC’s flagship Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer
► Provided social media and marketing training and technical assistance to leaders of NOCC’s national network of chapters

Program and Communications Assistant | Howard University, Office of the Dean of the Chapel, Washington, DC – April 2008 - August 2009

The Office of the Dean of the Chapel offers programs that nurture students in the exploration of their gifts and help them to become spiritually sensitive and effective leaders in their vocations.
